So Is There Anything Good On??

I watch tv regularly, well to be honest I only watch certain shows, the news and sports and that’s it. If there’s no game on or show that I regularly watch I’ll do something else. I’m not the type that watches tv to simply watch tv. I’d rather read or sit on the computer and listen to some music. Anyways…

24 started last night, now I’ve been a fan of 24 since it first premiered and so far nothing has changed. Last nights season premier was the perfect set up for a great season. Jack’s heroine (sic?) addiction was a nice touch. Kim’s not as annoying as she used to be, yet. Her new boyfriend seems ok, but I do have some qualms already….. They show the president three years after season two and he’s still feeling the effects of what happened to him in the season finale. Now my question is, what happened to him for those three years? Was he incapacitated for a little while? If so who was in charge? What happened to Mandy and the others who plotted against him? Will we see them again? Well anyways, I guess those are questions that will eventually be answered. So, what else am I watching? Here are my lists of what’s hot and what’s soon to be not …

What’s Hot
Third Watch – solid stories and just an overall great show
24 – One of the best out there
Las Vegas – The best new show on TV
ER- Still great
That ’70′s Show – One of the best shows ever
Everwood – Great show, no really, it is
Carnivale – Another great show from HBO
Navy NCIS – I actually like this one

What’s Not So Hot
The West Wing – zzzzzz
JAG – maybe it will get better now that Harm will go back to JAG, but it’s sucked lately
ST: Enterprise – zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Boston Public – too preachy, I think the only reason I’m still watching it is because of Jeri Ryan

Stuff I Won’t Admit To Watching (but I do)
Gilmore Girls – umm, my fiance makes me watch it
The OC – it’s like a bad car wreak, you can’t help but watch

Now here are some shows I miss: John Doe, those bastards at FOX took it off the air and now one of the shows that replaced it has already been cancelled. JD more than doubled it in the ratings. Fastlane, yes I actually liked the show, I took it for what it was and not some serious drama. Firefly, it grew on me and then it was cancelled. AGAIN, those bastards at FOX. At least it’ll be released as a DVD in December.

This Is The End, My Beautiful Friend

Oh how true it is, the Yankees lost the World Series to the Marlins. Let’s be honest here, the Marlins deserved it, they played better. Looking back here are some things I feel need to be changed…

Aaron Boone and Enrique Wilson have got to go! We need a good third baseman who doesn’t give up 5 errors in the World Series and knows how to hit. Wilson is a terrible back up player. Alphonso Soriano needs to off season to think how CRAPPY his play was in the post-season. Pitching staff…. we need a good one. Clemens is gone and it looks like Pettite might do the same. Wells is an out of shape piece of crap that should retire. The bullpen is terrible except for Mariano Rivera. Jeff Weaver? If we can’t trade him someone should take him behind Yankee Stadium and shoot him, he’s that bad. It just gets me so pissed thinking how pitiful the Yankees were in the World Series.

I believe that there will be a few wholesale changes coming up this offseason and I don’t have any problems with that. I just hope the changes are for the better.

Oh yeah, at least Juventus won today. That and the NY Rangers were finally able to win another game this season.

You’ve Got To Be Kidding Me!

Nice rally, but it was too little too late…

Down 3-2, that’s just disgusting. I think tonights game just proves how lacking the Yankees are in the depth chart. Boone? He SUCKS! Enrique Wilson? He SUCKS, if it wasn’t for his retarded error the Marlins would have been at 4 and not 6! With the two of them sucking worse then a circus seal it rules out a good 3rd baseman and a decent backup for second. Alphonso Soriano? Trade him, he SUCKS! Another night with bases loaded and NOTHING.

Don’t get me started on the bullpen, it’s simply atrocious. If it wasn’t for Mariano Rivera then they’d be in worse shape then they are now. Just looking at Steinbrenners face you can tell that there’ll be some major changes next season, even if the Yanks win the Series.

The only bright spots this Series has been Jeters play and hitting and the emergence of Bernie Williams. Matsui’s definitely been a big contributor this Series (although he wasn’t too good tonight) and I can definitely see him winning the Rookie of the Year title. As for Joe Torre, well I think he’s got a part to blame in this as well. I think someone really needs to come out and questions his choices. Giambi looked pretty good rounding those bases.

You heard the Marlins “fans” all chanting Yankees Suck, and you know what… tonight they were right.

One last thing, those god damn rally towels that the Marlins “fans” were waving… they’ve got to go. Any grown adult that stands there and waves one of those stupid towels should be beaten by the towel, preferrably a wet one…. REPEATEDLY.

Two More Games!!!

That’s all we need, two more games. Thanks the Godzilla and Aaron Boone the Yanks have taken a 2-1 lead in the Series. Things are looking good, now if they can only get rid of Soriano. Can he get any worse? He’s got a new MLB record, which he should be ashamed of.

Can I just say that the Marlins “fans” are the worst out there. Now I know they can barely get 10k to a game during the regular season, but this is the World Series and every game should be sold out. There were LOTS of empty seats tonight. I know it rained, but c’mon. There were a lot more missing after the rain delay. Not to mention they need the canned music to get them going. PATHETIC!
