Ok, so I went to see Godsmack tonight, it’s the second time I’ve seen them and they only get better. Some band named Ill Nino opened up and they were ok, they were so loud that you couldn’t understand anything. That’s not a good sign.
Adema came on second and they put on a great show. They’re a great band and have a wonderful future ahead of them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
Lastly there was Godsmack. What can I say but WOW! They really put on a great show. They were energetic and really got the crowd involved. It was like they were putting on a greatest hits show, playing all of their hits except Serenity. They even did a medley of cover songs from Aerosmith, Led Zep and Rush. That was a treat. If you ever get the chance to go see them, DO IT, you won’t regret it

Ok, so now I’ve gotten back into my Star Wars phase… keep in mind I LOVED the original trilogy, hated Episode 1 and thought that Episode 2 was worse that ROTJ but better than Ep 1….
ANYWAYS, this guys is SO friggin cool looking. I just might have to plop down the $4.99 to pick him up. I haven’t bought SW toys in a LONG time.
Yeah, I know the image is huge, but c’mon..
What I don’t understand is why people get so defensive when people criticize the Star Wars prequels. So people don’t like it, or think it can be better, what’s wrong with that? I was dissing SW: Ep 1 pretty badly and people jumped on me for it. So what I say… ah well, anyways, here’s what I have to say about that.
I’m not going to call someone dumb or tell them they shouldn’t be here because they’re a big fan of the prequels, or they love Jar Jar. I think it’s great, it gets more people into SW and that’s fine by me. I also think that people should be more open to the ideas of others, especially when they don’t coincide with their own.
I was sorely dissapointed in Ep. 1, not because I wanted it all then and there. I knew I’d have to wait a number of years to get it all. I was dissapointed because to ME it didn’t live up to the standards I felt it could have. I felt it could have been better and I wanted it to be better, that’s why I will complain about it. I’m not trying to bash SW or hope it will die. On the contrary, I want it to live. I want to see it flurish in comics, games and novels. I want to see more, whether it’s on the big screen or on my tv.
I think hearing negative feedback is essential in a situation such as the prequels. You can clearly tell in Ep 2 that GL took heed to some of the criticisms of Ep 1. I think that’s great and it shows that he cares what the fans think, to a degree that is.

Steinbrenner’s right, the voting process for the American League’s Rookie of the Year is a farce. How in anyone’s right mind can someone leave Hideki Matsui off the ballot? What makes matters worse is that it’s two writers who did so. Matsui is a Rookie in MLB, it’s as simple as that. It doesn’t matter whether he’s played for x amount of years in Japan, all that matters is that he’s a rookie in MLB. He had an excellent season, as well as an excellent post-season. How he could be passed up is beyong me.

Whoever reads this will know that I’m a Juve fan, if you don’t then check out some of my other posts where I talk about them. Well anyways, Juve crushed Udinese on Sunday 4-1 and have taken the lead in Serie A. They sit up top all by themselves and are still undefeated. Juve have also qualified for the next round of the UEFA Champions League, they’re undefeated in Champions League play as well.
There have been accusations thrown around by idiots like Sensi, the President of Roma, that Juve have fixed games. As any self respecting fan would know something like that coming from Sensi can only mean one thing, Roma’s paying off the refs but it’s not working. Juve have earned to the top spot and deserve to be there.
Recently Alessandro Del Piero came back into the lineup after a month off with an injury. Can I just say that he stunk it up, leave him on the bench. How do you miss a penalty kick? He hit the damn cross bar for Christs sake. Juve did just fine without him. I’d leave Di Vaio in, he’s been a one man wrecking machine lately.
